He gave a brief rundown of Mike Nishimuta's accomplishments in AFA and the AF, and displayed a flag box that holds a US flag that was flown over the AF Memorial in Mike's honor on June 6th, the 42nd anniversary of his graduation and commissioning from the AF Academy. He stated that the flag will be sent to his wife in Colorado Springs.

Gary gave a short synopsis of the National Awards and stated that Texas did well in that we received all the Medal of Merits (MoMs) we requested plus more than the usual share of Exceptional Service Awards (ESAs). He attributed that to the great work of the people and thanked the chapter leadership for submitting deserving folks.

Finally, he explained that there are a number of new training modules available on the AFA website that chapter leaders should review.
